THE STORY OF AFRICAN THISTLE
African Thistle was born in 2023 by Nicky and Daniel Kemp. Having lived in the West Highlands of Scotland for the past 18 years, Nicky (a Scot from Edinburgh) and Daniel (originally from Empangeni) decided to uproot and move to the beautiful town of St Lucia to give their two sons a taste of their African roots.
Wanting to keep a wee bit of Scotland alive their sons came up with the name African Thistle. They pride themselves on giving the best of "Highland Hospitality" in South Africa.
With a collective 50 years of hospitality experience between them, it was time to set up their own business; they hope to give you memories you won't forget!
Our apartment is like a home from home, nestled in a quiet area of town, surrounded by luscious trees.
